Welcome to our Dover Store and Quilt Shop

Our Dover Store specializes in high quality fabrics, general as well as formal wear and weddings. Some types include China Silk, Velvet, Lace, Satins, Brocades, Sparkle and Fancys. We also carry plenty of basic Cottons, Quilters Cottons, Flannels, Denim and a lot of regular and coat linings to match. A great selection of Trims, Trims and more fancy Trims.

We carry a wide variety of Janome/New Home embroidery and sewing machines and Horn Cabinets on our sales floor that you can sit down and try out before you buy. One of our experienced associates can demo each machine and guide you to the one that is suitable to your sewing and/or embroidery needs. With each new machine comes a free class (held at out Dover store) to show you the basics of using your new machine. We have a Sewing/Embroidery/ P.C. Club. Club is available to customers who purchase their embroidery machines from us.

Our Janome accessory rack is full of optional presser feet for the Janome machines to make your sewing projects so much easier. Some of these feet are compatible with other brands. Cases and rolling cases (Tutto and Janome) are available for your machines including Sergers and the larger machines.

The Delaware Sewing Centers service department has trained certified technicians to service your machine. We service most brands of machines. Our parts department carries a wide variety of Janome and Singer parts that are available and also compatible with some other brands. This and over 60 years of training and experience keep our customer's and the general public's equipment running like new.

Our large quilting department offers a wide variety of high quality cotton quilting fabrics. You'll find just what you're looking for; from 30's patterns to modern designs and batiks, and from lettuce leaves to musical instruments. Dover carries plenty of solids and tonal prints. We try to keep them at a low cost. Quilt fabric starts at just $6.99 per yard! Dover also has 108" wide fabric that is perfect for backing quilts. There is a wide variety of muslin in different shades and thread counts.

Dover has patterns for all experience levels and styles. There are dozens of applique patterns from beginner to advanced. There are quick and easy patterns for that quilt you needed to make yesterday, or for the baby that's on the way. To make choosing easier, many of the patterns also have samples with them.

To go along with the patterns, there are rulers of all shapes and sizes. Each ruler serves a purpose, which is why Dover carries a large variety. Many patterns call for specific rulers, so if we don't carry it, ask Crystal if we can order it for you.

A quilter can never have too many pins and notions, which is why we have a back wall full of fun products. We carry a number of Yo-yo makers, thangles, marking tools, thimbles, and other interesting things to spark a little creativity.

For all of you hand sewers out there, Dover carries a large selection of woolfelt fabric. Some of it we have even precut and washed for you so half the work is done. A lot of these patterns have kits made up with them. And we absolutely love hand embroidery here as well. So there are books, patterns, thread and iron-on transfers for all your needs.

The Dakota rack of embroidery designs can be purchased for any brand embroidery machine. New designs are added every three months. We can also order individual designs for you.

Floriani and Sulky stabilizers along with Robison-Anton polyester embroidery thread and bobbin thread will complete your machine embroidery needs!
